Enrollment Procedures

Students who are not Canadian citizens or who have not yet achieved landed immigrant status must have a visitor or student permit before attending our school.



APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Please provide the following items to Maple Leaf Academy:

  1. Completed Application Form.

  2. APPLICATION FEE (non-refundable)

  3. TWO SIGNED PASSPORT-SIZE PHOTOGRAPHS

  4. OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS FROM YOUR LAST PLACE OF STUDY:
    Listing courses, grades, class standing, and other related information.
    Photocopies are acceptable, provided there is an official seal of the school and signature of the responsible issuing officer.
    Transcripts must indicate how grades are to be interpreted.

  5. PROOF OF HEALTH CARE COVERAGE.

  6. ONE LETTER - from the student in your own writing. The letter should be a detailed outline of why you would like to study at MLA.

* If the student is under 18 years old, Parents, please write a letter to the school indicating how you will support your child.

** Please ensure that all above information is complete and correct. Any missing information will result in a delay in the processing of your application.



ACCEPTANCE PROCEDURES
  1. Upon receipt and evaluation of the above requirements, we will notify the student regarding their acceptance.

  2. When accepted, the student will receive a Provisional Letter of Acceptance, and a notice requesting payment of fees. Payments must be made by certified cheque, bank draft, or wire transfer in CANADIAN FUNDS, payable to MAPLE LEAF ACADEMY. Any service charges are the responsibility of the student.

  3. Upon receipt of all fees (registration, tuition and student fees), the student will receive two OFFICIAL LETTERS OF ACCEPTANCE and an OFFICIAL RECEIPT. One official letter should be presented to the Canadian Consulate in your country, so that a permit may be issued. The other is for the student's personal records. The student should carry a copy of the Official Letter of Acceptance when travelling. A copy of the Official Letter of Acceptance should also be left with the parents or guardian in the home country.
