IELTS Preparation IELTS is a globally recognized English language proficiency test required for admission to many academic institutions and for immigration purposes. IELTS preparation programs help students enhance their skills specifically for the test. These programs cover all aspects of the IELTS exam, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking. LINC LINC is a government-funded program in Canada that offers free language instruction to newcomers. It is designed to help immigrants and refugees adapt to Canadian society by improving their English language skills. Taking your IELTS exam as Maple Leaf Academy has never been easier. Maple Leaf Academy is proud to be a partner of IDP Canada as the venue for the paper based IELTS exam. Come take some prep classes prior to taking your IELTS exam here. IELTS We can help you prepare for IELTS IELTS is the International English Language Testing System, a test used to measure English language proficiency. What is IELTS? Where can I take the IELTS? Do I need to prepare for the IELTS? Register for IELTS prep courses What is IELTS? IELTS is the International English Language Testing System, a test used to measure English language proficiency. You must demonstrate a minimum level of English skills to apply for Permanent Residency in Canada. There are 2 different IELTS Tests, the General Test and the Academic Test. The General Test applies to most people, and the Academic Test applies directly to those who want to enter post-secondary studies. Where can I take the IELTS? With the recent announcement from the Canadian Government, IELTS Test venues have quickly filled up. Maple Leaf Academy does not administer the test, but we offer our school as an official testing centre for the IELTS Test which is administered by the IDP. Book IELTS Test Do I need to prepare? IELTS requires preparation. You can register for one of our official IELTS Test Preparation courses. Many websites recommend a minimum of 6-8 weeks of preparation with an additional 5 weeks to improve one band of results. You can take a chance and find free practice materials online, or register for a comprehensive IELTS prep class designed to help you succeed and taught by highly qualified professionals with certified experience. FAQs How do you engage with students in a HyFlex classroom? Know your audience. Use technology and resources already available to support your HyFlex classroom. A paper worksheet can be scanned and converted into a fillable form. It can also be used as a background image on a smartboard to be manually filled in. It can also be printed off for in-person students. What are the benefits to utilizing a HyFlex classroom? A HyFlex classroom has many benefits. It is adaptable to the ever changing world we live in. It allows students and teachers to interact in a variety of ways and minimizes interruption of services. A HyFlex classroom is just that, flexible to fit the needs of the class and the teacher. What are the drawbacks to utilizing a HyFlex classroom? Delivering a HyFlex classroom can be time consuming for teachers and support staff members. There are several things that can and will go wrong that are often out of our control. Some ways your HyFlex classroom may experience disruption include, connectivity issues, students can't access the online work, and students who can't unmute. Is there special training required? If you are already delivering your classroom online, use what your team and students already know! This will save you time and money. Use these resources to support your HyFlex classroom in other ways. How successful are HyFlex Classrooms? Each individual has their own learning style. The HyFlex classroom allows room for a variety of learning styles to come together in one classroom. Is managing a HyFlex classroom a lot of work? Yes! Each classroom is different. Students have unique needs and wants. Teachers need to find ways to manage the online and in person students effectively so they don't allow one or another take all their attention.
