ABOUT THE LINC PROGRAM

Serving Newcomers to Canada from 1993 to 2025

Since 1993, Maple Leaf Academy delivered the LINC program to Newcomers to Canada. It is with deep sorrow that we announce that as of April 1, 2025, we no longer are funded by the Canadian government to assist Newcomers with their settlement journey as they explore their new life in Calgary.
 

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)
 

LINC is a free program for eligible applicants.

The LINC program is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). LINC classes provides basic language and culture skills. You do not have to pay for LINC classes. Please see below if you are interested in applying for the LINC program through another service provider.

Step 1

Schedule an assessment with
C-LARC. Calgary Language
Assessment & Referral Centre

Step 2

Attend your scheduled appointment and complete your assessment with C-LARC.

Step 3

C-LARC will your
referral paper to a service provider of your choice
