Given what we know about our past, it is time to acknowledge the long and rich history of the Indigenous people whose land we settle on. It is time to recognize and appreciate the many contributions they continue to make to our society and culture.

To avoid mere repetion and remain sincere, the best thing to do would be to consult with elders and construct a Land Acknowledgement of your own.
