Company
Partnerships
According to Statistics Canada, by 2011, all of
Canada's net growth in the labour
market will come from immigrants. Because of this trend, the provincial
and
federal governments are funding Enhanced Language Training Programs
which are designed to help immigrant professionals find work in their
fields.
Maple Leaf Academy's
Skills for Employment and Lifelong
Learning (SELL) program
is an ELT Program jointly funded
by Alberta Employment, Immigration
and Industry and
Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
An integral part of our SELL program
is a three-month work placement with
an
Alberta company. The work placement contributes to filling skilled job
vacancies
through foreign trained workers on either a temporary or permanent basis,
while at the same time, providing participants with solid Canadian work
experience.
To achieve this objective, Maple Leaf Academy is seeking to build partnerships
with Canadian companies. The SELL
Program can provide partner companies
with
motivated, well trained, and highly-qualified professionals for both
unpaid and
paid work assignments.
Companies interested in building partnerships
with Maple Leaf Academy
are invited to contact Natasha Iskra for further information.
